Gears or resistance are not changingUpdated 2 hours ago
If you find you are unable to change gear or resistance when using the shifters, check if you can change by using the controls on the Wattbike Hub App?
IF the resistance DOES change when using the Hub App but NOT with the shifters, THEN the fault is with the shifters:
- Replace the shifter battery (type: CR2032) using the following instructions:
- Remove the hood from the shifter by carefully easing it away from the shifter.
- The battery is located behind a cap which is located on the inside face of the shifters.
- Turn the cap anti-clockwise and pull the cap away from the shifters.
- Using a pry, carefully remove the battery from the locator bracket.
- Try to ensure the bracket remains in the shifter body as you ease the battery out.
- Battery type required: CR2032 (ensure you remove any safety sticker from the back of the battery before use)
Ensure proper installation:
- Copper clasps positioned above the battery on one side and below on the other.
- Remove any safety sticker from the battery.
IF the issue persists after battery replacement THEN the fault may not be with the shifters.

- a photo of the shifter battery compartment.
- a full diagnostic report from the Hub App
