How to get started with the Wattbike HubUpdated 3 minutes ago

What is the Wattbike Hub?

The Wattbike Hub is a free app and website for measuring and improving your training on a Wattbike, such as the Wattbike Atom. This guide takes you through your first session, from setting your training zones to reviewing your data.

Before you start

  • Download the Wattbike Hub app on your phone or tablet and create an account.
  • Set up your user profile fully including gender, accurate weight and current fitness level.
  • Make sure your Wattbike is powered on and nearby.
  • The app connects to your Wattbike automatically.

Tip: If you're in a gym with several Wattbikes, check you're connected to the right one by tapping the bike number in the top right of the screen.

Your first session in 4 steps

  1. Set your training zones. Take the Health Assessment Check fitness test in the app, or enter your MMP or FTP in Settings. The app uses these to calculate your training zones, so every workout is personalised to you. Further information on the Health Assessment test is available here.
  2. Choose a workout. Browse the workout library. Workouts vary in length and difficulty, so pick one that suits you, then tap the play icon.
  3. Ride the workout. Press play to start. Aim to match the heart rate, power and cadence targets shown at the top of the screen. Swipe left to see other data views, including your Polar View shape.
  4. Review your data. When you finish, you'll see a session summary with your key metrics, including time, distance, power and Polar View.

Tip: For a deeper look at your session, log in at hub.wattbike.com. There you can select specific parts of a session and analyse them in detail.

For how to pause, stop and save a ride, see How to start and end a Hub app session.
