Yes. The Atom comes with flat pedals as standard, however it has a standard pedal fitment so you can fit your own pedals. We also offer Wellgo E148 dual sided pedals as an optional accessory.
How to change your pedals - Tutorial
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to change your Wattbike Atom smart bike pedals from the flat cage pedals provided with the Wattbike to Wellgo E148 dual sided pedals, which support Shimano SPD (mtb) or Look Keo compatible cleats.
Please note: you can use the same process outlined in this tutorial to fit your own pedals.
Before starting this tutorial, you will need a 15mm spanner and a 6mm allen key.
How to install your pedals
Note: Pedal threads are unlike most other screws, in that the left-hand pedal has an opposite thread. therefore all pedals tighten in a forwards manner.
Left pedal:
1. Start with the left pedal, rotate the crank to 3 o'clock. Then get your left pedal and line up the pedal threads, you can do this by turning the left axle anticlockwise by hand.
Be careful not to cross thread your pedal, if you feel any resistance or it's at an angle then restart the step.
2. Now tighten the pedal with either a 6mm allen key, or you can use a 15mm spanner connected to the axle and rotate the pedals forwards to tighten. Keep rotating until the pedal won't tighten any further.
Right pedal
1. Rotate the crank to 9 o'clock. Then get the pedal and line up the pedal threads by turning the right axle clockwise by hand
2. Now tighten the pedal with either a 6mm allen key, or you can use a 15mm spanner connected to the axle and rotate the pedals forwards to tighten. Keep rotating until the pedal won't tighten any further.
