You can now experience real world routes indoors with Rouvy! The new integration allows you to enjoy Rouvy’s animated 3D rides in 2D videos which give the feel of truly cycling outdoors as well as access to structured workouts, fitness tests, and live community leaderboards.
How to get set up:
To connect to the Rouvy app as your only app:
Turn on your Wattbike.
Launch RouvyAR app.
Choose a route from the ride selection on Rouvy screen.
Click on the 'Connect Sensors' button in top left of screen.
The RouvyAR app will search for all available connections and will try to connect automatically.
Check the 'Power Source', 'Cadence' & 'Controllable' sensors list the correct Wattbike serial number (if not click 'change' and choose another from the list) or if any sensors aren't connected click the green 'Connect' button to search for them manually.
Click the 'X' in top right of the screen to close the Cycling Devices screen.
Press green 'Start' to begin your ride.
To use the hub app and Rouvy at the same time, the order you connect to the Wattbike Atom is important:
The 1st app/device you connect to the Atom will act as the ‘Secondary’/’Passive’ app/device - it will not have any control over the bike and will just passively receive the bike’s data.
The 2nd app/device you connect to the Atom will act as the ‘Primary’/’Controlling’ app/device - it will have control over the bike as well as receiving the bike’s data.
Just follow these steps:
Turn on the Atom.
Start your Rouvy session on device A. Connect Rouvy to your Atom as controllable, power & cadence. Begin a 'Just Ride’ or ‘Time Trial’ session in Rouvy, pedal to check the data is coming through to Rouvy
Start your Wattbike Hub session. Choose your workout. Connect to the Atom. Begin the Hub workout. The Hub app will be in control of the bike.
If you use erg mode in the Hub workout, the Atom will automatically adjust resistance to match the workout target in the Hub. In Rouvy, the power will simply be sent from the bike to Rouvy and therefore change your avatars speed.
You can switch between gear and ergo mode in the Hub as usual.
