The current firmware versions for all Wattbikes are listed below. Selecting a firmware link will automatically download the firmware to your mobile device or desktop computer.

Newer Wattbikes may ship with a different firmware version to the one currently installed on your bike. As long as you are using the latest version of the Wattbike Hub app (see below), the app will automatically update your bike to the minimum required firmware version if needed. Unless you are prompted by the app, there is no requirement to manually update your Wattbike firmware.

Beta Firmware (when available)

Beta firmware may be available for Wattbike Proton, Atom and Air. When Beta firmware is available, it can be installed by enabling the Beta option in the Wattbike Hub app. Follow the steps below or see this support article:

1. Open the Wattbike Hub app
2. Go to Preferences
3. Select Device Firmware
4. Toggle Beta to ON and press Save

Once Beta is enabled, the next time you connect to your Wattbike, the Hub app will automatically prompt you to install the available Beta firmware.

If you need to backdate your firmware, you can do this using nRF Connect (see further details here). Only use the nRF method if you have been advised by Wattbike to do so or if you are certain this process is required to update the firmware on your bike.  If you choose to backdate the firmware on your Wattbike without first contacting us, you do so entirely at your own risk.
