PTS2 Disconnected ErrorUpdated 2 hours ago

This 'DISCONNECTED' error message means that the connection between the main circuit board in the bike and the performance touchscreen (PTS2) has been disconnected and this will prevent data being pushed through from the bike to the screen.

A "not connected" error on the Air-Pro's PTS2 can be caused by either of two separate components:

  • PTS2 unit - the screen that displays all data from the Air-Pro
  • PTS2 Air-Pro Dongle - the separate connector piece that pairs the PTS2 to the Air-Pro (see below):

To isolate the fault, please follow the steps below:

1. Carefully unplug the data cable from the back of the screen – check both the cable and socket on the monitor for any damage, such as cable fraying or kinks, or broken or bent pins in the socket.

Pull cable head straight down gently to remove

2. Ensure the socket dongle is fitted securely to the screen with the 4 screws and is not flexing or wobbling; these can be tightened and replaced with a 2.5mm Allen Key. Screws should be tightened evenly.  If any screws are missing, contact Wattbike customer service for replacements.

3. If the issue remains, please carry out a swap test if a spare of either part is available at your location:

1. If a spare PTS2 unit is available: fit it with the existing dongle. If the error clears, the original PTS2 unit is faulty.
2. If a spare dongle is available: fit it with the existing PTS2 unit. If the error clears, the original dongle is faulty.

Once isolated, please advise which part failed the test so we can process a warranty/replacement claim for the correct component.

If no spares are available and the error message still shows – please contact Wattbike customer service with the serial number of the bike and screen.
