Wattbike Warranty Terms
This warranty does not limit your legal rights as a consumer.
To ensure maximum protection under the terms of this warranty, you must follow the maintenance and servicing recommendations in the owner's manual. It's essential to keep records of all services and maintenance conducted by Wattbike. You must make these records available to Wattbike if requested whenever service, repair, or warranty work is required.
Please ensure that you keep your original order details in a safe place for future reference.
Wattbike reserves the right to inspect the product in the same condition it was in when the defect was discovered. Any defective parts, as described in this warranty, will be repaired or replaced by an authorised Wattbike Distributor, Service Agent, or at the Wattbike HQ Service Centre, at Wattbike Ltd’s discretion.
1. Warranty Coverage and Costs
1.1. If the Wattbike needs to be repaired at our HQ Service Centre, Wattbike will cover collection and delivery costs up to the current standard charge each way. Alternatively, you may arrange transportation at your own cost, but Wattbike will not reimburse you.
1.2. Any part replaced under warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
1.3. Replaced parts must be returned to Wattbike Ltd and become property of Wattbike Ltd.
1.4. Wattbike may, at its discretion, repair or replace parts outside of the warranty period, but this is not an admission of liability.
1.5. If a manufacturer's fault is found to be the cause of the defect, labour costs for warranty work will be covered by Wattbike. However, as per the warranty exclusions, labour will not be covered in cases where the defect is not caused by a manufacturer's fault.
2. Conditions, Exclusions, and Items Not Covered
2.1. The warranty is valid only within the country where the Wattbike was purchased. Repair labour and postage are not covered for locations outside of Wattbike's service territory as defined at the time of purchase.
2.2. If the Wattbike is exported to another country, the warranty will only cover parts for the remainder of the warranty period. Any shipping, import duties, or labour costs for repairs will not be covered.
2.3. The warranty does not cover defects resulting from misuse, improper maintenance, or incorrect servicing. Improper maintenance, as outlined in the 'Caring for Your Bike' guidelines, will void your warranty. It is your responsibility to follow these maintenance guidelines to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of your Wattbike.
2.4. Modifications, repairs, or replacements that are not authorised by Wattbike Ltd will void the warranty. Wattbike reserves the right to refuse warranty service for any bike that has been modified in any way.
- We will accept customer changes to the following: saddle, handlebars (on Proton or Air models only), device holders, and bar tape. Any modifications outside of these will void your warranty.
2.5. Defects must be reported to Wattbike within 10 days of discovery. If a defect is not reported in this timeframe, Wattbike reserves the right to refuse repair or replacement of the defective part.
2.6. Excessive sweat damage will void your warranty. Wattbike will refuse the right to service or repair your bike if it is damaged as a result of excessive sweat exposure. It is your responsibility to clean, dry, and lubricate your Wattbike as per the maintenance guide to maintain its best condition.
2.7. Parts that naturally wear over time, such as chains, sprockets, touchpad, and felt, are excluded unless there is a manufacturing defect.
2.8. Other items not covered by the warranty include the saddle, paint, decals, and external seals where deterioration is caused by normal wear and tear, exposure, or improper maintenance.
2.9. The warranty will not cover defects that have not been reported to Wattbike within ten days of discovery.
2.10. Items that fail due to operation in extreme conditions (e.g., extreme heat or cold) are not covered. The Wattbike is designed for indoor use only and should not be stored or used in outdoor environments.
2.11. Proper storage of the Wattbike is essential to maintaining its condition and warranty coverage. The Wattbike must be stored in an appropriate indoor location with minimal moisture in the air. Excessive humidity or exposure to moisture can cause damage to components, leading to rust and other deterioration. The environment should be dry, with temperatures not exceeding the recommended range for indoor use. Exposure to extreme temperatures or high humidity levels may void your warranty, as these conditions can cause premature failure of finishes and components.
2.12. If the Wattbike is used in conditions that cause premature failure of finishes or components, such as excessive sweating, it is your responsibility to clean, dry, and lubricate your Wattbike as per the maintenance guide to maintain its best condition. Excessive sweat damage will void your warranty, and Wattbike will refuse service or repair in such cases.
3. Service Requirements
3.1. Wattbikes should only be used for their intended purpose. Regular maintenance as outlined in the owner's manual must be followed to keep your bike in proper working order. If your Wattbike is used under severe conditions, more frequent servicing may be required to avoid premature wear and tear.
4. Warranty Claims and Limitations
4.1. Wattbike Ltd is not liable for any costs related to the loss of use of the product, inconvenience, or commercial losses while your Wattbike is out of service.
4.2. Any statement, condition, representation, or description in catalogues, advertisements, or other publications does not alter or override anything in this warranty.
4.3. Wattbike Ltd reserves the right to make improvements or alterations to any model without obligation to apply these changes to bikes already sold.
4.4. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
