Wattbike HQ Servicing Options with TiersUpdated 2 hours ago

The details below are for UK home customers. For commercial customers, please see our dedicated support area here.

For customers outside of the UK or USA, please contact our support team for availability and pricing. If you are located in the USA, please see here for details of servicing options.

General Home Service

We offer a home service starting from £189.00*. A home service includes the call out, labour, and the service or replacement of any mechanical parts as dictated by your chosen service tier. If you are not sure if your Wattbike needs a service, please see this article which provides further information.

All services are carried out by trained Wattbike technicians - choose the service tier that best matches your Wattbike's condition. Within each service tier, there are mandatory parts which will be changed. Additional parts may be changed at the technician's discretion, based on measured tolerance, cosmetic condition, or functional performance. If you're concerned about a particular component, you can view the full parts list here. For more advice on frequency of servicing take the quiz.

Nuts, bolts and washers will be changed if needed on any tier:

  • On Tier 1 they’ll be replaced if they no longer function - £189.
  • On Tiers 2 and 3, they will be changed if they no longer function or they are corroded - £279 / £599
  • Any bolt directly into the main frame that is seized, snapped or sheared will not be fixed on site (Tier 1 or 2) and will require Tier 3 work at Wattbike HQ - they require drilling out to prevent further frame damage.

There are a number of parts that require an additional charge should replacement be required. See what's included in our service tiers here.

Please note, service charges do not include any electrical components such as circuit boards or strain gauges or monitor services. Please see details here if you need to book a monitor service. However, shifter circuit boards ARE included as part of a general service in Tier 2 should they require replacement. If you require diagnostics or service for electrical parts, please contact our customer services for further support.

Strain Gauge Servicing and Replacement

We offer a strain gauge replacement service for £290*. This includes the collection and redelivery fee, the strain gauge, labour and recalibration of your Wattbike. No other components will be replaced within this service.

This service should only be booked and arranged following interaction and diagnosis of a strain gauge fault with our Technical Support Team. Please contact us here.

We endeavour to troubleshoot and diagnose issues to the best of our ability remotely; however, there may be instances where initial diagnostics differ from those made in person by our trained engineers. In such cases, any logistical fees will still apply, but you will only be charged for the work and parts that are required.

Tier 2 Service & Strain Gauge Replacement at Wattbike HQ

We offer a General Service & Strain Gauge replacement for £569*. This includes the collection and redelivery fee (£102), the strain gauge replacement, a Tier 2 general service & recalibration. This service should only be booked and arranged following interaction and diagnosis of a strain gauge fault with our Technical Support Team. On occasion, this service may also incur an additional labour fee if your Wattbike is in poor condition. To prevent this, we suggest regular maintenance and cleaning and ensuring your Wattbike has been thoroughly cleaned prior to collection.

Tier 3 Service & Strain Gauge Replacement at Wattbike HQ

If you feel your bike requires a Tier 3 service in addition to the Strain Gauge replacement, this would total £699. This includes the collection and redelivery fee (£102), the strain gauge replacement, a Tier 3 general service & recalibration. This service should only be booked and arranged following interaction and diagnosis of a strain gauge fault with our Technical Support Team.

Please note, broken bottle cages are replaced as part of a standard service, provided that the screws are not damaged. Damaged screws will require drilling out, and will result in an additional labour cost.

Wattbike Calibration

We offer an option to calibrate your bike for an additional £50*. This option would also need to include a service as well as our Collection & Delivery Fee (£102), as this can only be completed at Wattbike HQ.

*Whilst this service can be booked without a General Service or (if required) a Strain Gauge service; it is not recommended to do so. This is because bikes that fall out of calibration, often require a service as well.

Collection & Delivery

Our standard collection and redelivery fee to Wattbike HQ is £102.*

There may be occasions when our Technical Support Team are unable to diagnose your fault remotely, in this case we will arrange for your Wattbike to be brought to Wattbike HQ for a quote. The only fee taken initially will be the Collection & Delivery Fee, after the bike has been diagnosed, you will be required to pay the General Service Fee, the Strain Gauge Replacement Fee or both fees combined.

* The above pricing is only valid for mainland UK postcodes, some areas will incur a surcharge.

Our delivery and collection routes are planned 1 week in advance. Please allow up to 10 working days for us to collect your Wattbike and bring it back to our HQ for repair. Once the bike is back at Wattbike HQ, turn-around time is 3-6 weeks for the bike to be repaired and delivered back to you.

General Service Warranty

All Wattbike service work is covered by a 90-day guarantee on labour and any replacement parts supplied and fitted during the visit. After 90 days, this will become a parts only warranty. Each part holds a different warranty length, and any further labour or logistics required will be chargeable.
